Ellen Ehk Åkesson

Ellen Ehk Åkesson, born in 1976 in Nybro, is a Swedish artist with her studio in the former glassworks Pukeberg in Nybro. She also works with Orrefors Kosta Boda. Ehk Åkesson, educated at HDK in Gothenburg, utilizes mediums such as clay, bronze, and glass in her artistic practice, exploring the connection between body and mind by depicting organic objects.

Her works, which are not primarily functional objects, are represented at the Nationalmuseum, Röhsska museet, and Shanghai Arts and Crafts Museum. Ellen Ehk Åkesson has been awarded the Ulrika Hydman-Vallien Scholarship and has exhibited her works for an extended period at Galleri Berg in Stockholm, participating in Stockholm Market.
