Christer Strömholm

Christer Strömholm was a notable Swedish photographer known for his contributions to documentary photography. Active since the mid-20th century, Strömholm's work focuses on capturing human life, particularly within marginalized communities and exploring the complexities of identity.

One of his significant projects, "Les Amies de Place Blanche," documents the lives of transgender individuals in Paris during the 1960s. Strömholm's black-and-white photographs from this series reveal empathy and a unique ability to convey the human experience.
