Anders Petersen

Anders Petersen is a Swedish photographer celebrated for his emotionally charged documentary photography. Famous for "Café Lehmitz", a project capturing raw human moments in a Hamburg bar during the late 1960s, Petersen's work exudes authenticity, empathy, and a deep connection with his subjects.

Petersen has published more than 20 books of his black and white photographs. He has exhibited at Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Liljevalchs konsthall, MARTa Herford, and Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome and many more galleries and museums. His work is held in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and Moderna Museet in Stockholm among others.
